The outdoor sculpture “Love,” commemorating the one-year anniversary of the wine country fires, is coming to Sonoma Plaza.

Created by Laura Kimpton with Jeff Schomberg, the work embodies “the love in the air is thicker than the smoke” community spirit of a year ago.

The tribute to the resiliency and strength of the Sonoma community will be installed in front of City Hall on Friday, September 28 (NEW DATE) at 8 a.m. It is part of the Sonoma Valley Musuem of Arts’s From Fire, Love Rises exhibition.

The installation consists of four individual letters, each 6 feet tall and 3 feet wide. At night it will be lit from within.
