Supervisor Susan Gorin has announced the appointees for the North Valley Municipal Advisory Council, an official body that will hold public meetings and make nonbinding recommendations to the County Board of Supervisors.

“We have a really strong group of community leaders moving forward for Board approval on July 14th,”  Gorin said. “I cannot wait to work closely with these [MAC] councilmembers as they develop a unified voice for the communities of Kenwood, Glen Ellen and Eldridge to speak to the issues that impact them.”

The appointees to the North Valley MAC are:

  • Arthur Dawson, Chair
  • Daymon Doss, Vice Chair
  • Kate Eagles
  • Melissa Dowling
  • Vicki Handron
  • Jed Cooper
  • Mark Newhouser
  • Matthew Dickey
  • Angela Nardo-Morgan

A MAC is a group of citizens appointed by the Board to provide recommendations on matters of local concern, said Gorin, who earlier established a MAC to represent the Springs area.

The North Valley MAC will advise on issues such as transportation and traffic calming; bicycle and pedestrian improvements; homelessness and housing; fire and community preparedness; and community projects, as well as other topics as directed.
