County’s free small business webinars

Sonoma County Economic Development Week, May 3-7, offers free Virtual Workshops on starting, financing and marketing a business in Sonoma County, and Virtual Corridor Walks with the Board of Supervisors.

VIRTUAL WORKSHOPS

  • Market Research and Intro to Digital Marketing:  This workshop will feature Mustafa Tolosa, owner of Createsburg, who will share important beginner tips and tricks into digital marketing. Also joining Mustafa is EDB Business Development Tools Program Manager, Christine Palmer, who will outline market research services available at EDB for businesses looking to ramp up their marketing outreach.

  • Start Your Business: Join the EDB Business Assistance Team as they guide you through 10 critical steps of starting a business in Sonoma County. This workshop will also include important considerations for building a resilient business.

  • Finance Your Business: Whether you are starting a business or are looking to expand operations, this workshop covers existing funds and the resources available to access funding for your business. The EDB is partnering with Napa-Sonoma Small Business Development Center, Working Solutions a Bay Area CDFI, and Mendocino Economic Development and Financing Corporation.

  • Employee Reskilling and Workforce Opportunities: The EDB Business Services Program Manager, Patricia Andrews, is partnering with the Workforce Investment Board (WIB) to discuss resources available to help grow and train your workforce. Learn how to access existing employee training funds for current and new employees.

VIRTUAL CORRIDOR WALKS WITH THE SUPERVISORS:

Sonoma County businesses are also invited to participate in Virtual Corridor Walks with the Supervisors. Each County Supervisor will be hosting a Virtual Corridor Walk to discuss economic development projects and updates in their district. Supervisors will also be joined by the EDB Business Assistance Team to discuss recovery and resiliency resources available to businesses now.
