A few years ago, I went to an event about Sonoma’s Ukrainian sister city. It was well done by a Sonoma resident who has been to the City in Ukrainie.We must support an independent democratic Ukraine. They are wonderful people who have suffered for centuries. My mothers parents came from Austrian Galicia in 1910. They were Ukrainian. My mothers spoke Ukrainian and took me to many events when I was growing up. Weddings, picnics and so on.
It was a good event. Thanks so much to the Ukrainians who stopped by and warmly showed their appreciation for the rally. And thanks also to the many cars honking their horns in solidarity. It all makes a difference. There were statements among participants that the next rally for this cause will take place this coming Friday March 4, 2022 at 5pm, same place.
