High winds trigger fire, power-outage warnings

More extreme heat, high winds and PG&E Public Safety Power Shutoffs are on the way to Sonoma County.

The US National Weather Service has upgraded the Fire Weather Watch for the North Bay Mountains to a Red Flag Warning  starting at 10:00 PM Monday through 8:00 AM Wednesday.

Though Sonoma Valley appears to not be on the list of planned power outages, check your address here.

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity and high temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.

It is strongly advised to monitor/be aware of weather conditions, possible loss of electric power, and fire danger.
