Sandra Lowe wins seat on Sonoma City Council

With 60 percent of the vote, Sandra Lowe was elected to the Sonoma City Council on Tuesday. Her total of 1,897 — all but a handful submitted by mail — bested Mike Nugent (30 percent) and James Cribb (9 percent).

Lowe assumes the seat of Amy Harrington, whose resignation triggered the need for a special election. The seat is up for reelection next November.

In another Sonoma Valley race, Measure F, which extends the Sonoma Valley Health District Parcel Tax, passed. The 79.5 percent ‘yes’ vote exceeded the required three-quarter majority.

Fire Protection District Special Tax also passed, with 84 percent of the vote.
