An estimated crowd of 3,000 people jammed into the plaza Saturday afternoon to hear Roy Rogers & The Delta Rhythm Kings, the day’s final act on the Country Blues Stage. According to Bob Sevilla, president of the board of directors of the festival, overall attendance was higher both Saturday and Sunday than it was last year.
Music, wine, art, food and camaraderie characterized the event, which ran from Friday night’s Patrons’ Gala through Sunday. The Valley of the Moon Vintage Festival is the “granddaddy” of all Sonoma celebrations and last weekend’s festival was the 110th edition of the event.
“It was a great weekend, a great festival,” said Sevilla, who singled out the all-volunteer board of directors for praise. “They all work all year long to make this happen,” he said. “It was gratifying to see Sonoma show up for this truly home-grown festival.”
