The AARP sponsored Tax Assistance Program has begun at Vintage House and continues each Monday and Wednesday morning from 9 a.m. to noon. The program is designed to help low and middle income taxpayers prepare and file their federal and state income tax returns.
This service is available to people of all ages. To avoid identity theft, the IRS advises people to file a return even if their income is too low to pay tax. This free e-file service is being provided by AARP trained and certified volunteers and is available on a first come, first serve basis. Donations to Vintage House are always welcome and appreciated. Vintage House is located in Sonoma at 264 First St. East.
