Sonoma’s Mobile Home Ordinance to be revised by Council

This Monday, the Sonoma City Council will review and adopt an amendment to its mobile home ordinance, which regulates rents at the mobile home parks. There are three major mobile home parks in the city, housing approximately 700 people, mostly seniors. The new language is the result of recommendations made by residents of the parks during hearings in 2015.

The primary changes include the way in which rent increases are allowed, and the assignment of the City Manager to make decisions formerly decided by the city’s Mobile Home Rent Control Commission, which is being phased out. The full text of the revised amendments can be viewed on the city’s website here.

The meeting begins at 6:30 at the Community Meeting Room on First Street West.
CORRECTION: THE MEETING BEGINS AT 4PM AT THE VETS BUILDING
