So far, the Sonoma business has awarded 10 cars, absolutely free, to deserving community members that need a little help to keep up their good works. “There’s a lot of need out there,” he said. “We’re looking for the person who most deserves it.” His shop donates the car itself and the body work, while Pacific Rim gets it running like new. The giveaway is based on a short nomination email at bodybestofsononma.com or email to bodybest@vom.com.
“Tell us what distinguishes your choice as a major contributor to our community, their family or friends. What are they doing to help?” The deadline for stories is July 15, with the winner announced at a public event on July 30 at 10 a.m. Handing over the keys to the grateful recipient is a wonderful feeling, DiGiulio said. “It’s hard to explain that moment, especially when it’s changing somebody’s life.”
