‘Muse’ event tips cowboy hat to Gary Edwards

With its annual Muse gala, the Sonoma Community Center honored Gary Edwards for “his many years of inspired community service throughout the Sonoma Valley and beyond.”

The Western-themed event was a nod to Edwards’ trademark cowboy hat.

An avid SCC supporter, the former City councilmember is also active with Sonoma Valley Rotary and many other local causes. Says John Gurney, SCC executive director, “he provides the inspiration we all need to do our best.”

About the honor, Edwards told The Sun, “I have a deep love of the Community Center as it has over the years given the community a place to store the ‘Heart of the Sonoma Valley.’ There’s truly something for everybody.”
