The Cultural and Fine Arts Commission of Sonoma will honor Gayle Manfre, the 2010 Sonoma Treasure Artist of the Year, at a Dec. 3 reception. The public is invited to attend the event, 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Sonoma Valley Museum of Art. Manfre has been an art advocate and educator at local schools for over 20 years. She also works with the museum, offers a yearly art camp and gives private lessons. As a watercolorist, her work can be seen in local shows, including Salute to the Arts and the Vintage Festival.
