Paranoia with a view

Jimmy “It’s a Wonderful Life” Stewart reveals a perverse side as a voyeuristic photographer in Alfred Hitchcock’s 1954 thriller “Rear Window,” showing Monday, Jan. 24 at the Sebastiani Theatre. Stuck in wheelchair with a broken leg, Stewart spies on his neighbors, and becomes obsessed with the idea that one of them (Raymond Burr) is a murderer. Grace Kelly plays the girlfriend whose flirty advances go unnoticed by the increasingly paranoid Stewart. Pretending to ignore Grace Kelly — that’s acting. $8 at the door.
