rcsvbluecapturedlogoThe Rotary Club of Sonoma Valley is now offering one-time grants from $100 to $500 to teachers in the Sonoma Valley Unified School District to help  purchase classroom materials or to implement programs that might otherwise go unfunded.

“These grants will help teachers implement classroom projects and activities that motivate and challenge students to learn without having our teachers bear the financial burden,” said Susan Hoeffel, president of Rotary Club of Sonoma Valley.

“Rotary has been helping our students for many years, from funding high school scholarships, as well as literacy programs that provide books for English Learners and their parents, and Chromebooks for our classroom,” said Louann , SVUSD superintendent. “Now Rotary will help our teachers go the extra mile”

“We are truly grateful to everything the Rotary Club of Sonoma Valley has done for our district,” Carlomagno said.

The grant application guidelines and the application form will be sent to teachers in the school district by February 15, 2016. Applications for Spring 2016 must be received by March 15, 2016.

Teachers with questions about the process or want to obtain the guidelines and application, should email [email protected].
