Now serving: Coffee with a cop

Officers from the Sonoma Police Department/Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office invite community members to join them for coffee and conversation on Wednesday, May 11. All are welcome the informal discussion, which begins at 9:00a.m. at Peets Coffee, 591 Broadway, Sonoma.

The Coffee with a Cop program breaks down barriers and allows for a relaxed, one-on-one interaction, said Sgt. Jason Craver.

“Our hope is that when these events take place, community members will feel comfortable to ask questions, bring concerns, or simply get to know our officers and staff members,” Craver said. “The Sonoma Police Department believes these types of interactions are the foundation of community partnerships.”
