Night work, lane closures for Springs’ Hwy 12

Beginning the week of May 16, night work on the Springs’ Highway 12 project will close one lane at a time in portions of the road from Aqua Caliente Road to Boyes Boulevard.

The night work is expected to continue on an intermittent basis through mid-June, and includes laying down new asphalt on the shoulders of the road, paving the highway, and striping the road. The work will move throughout the construction site and will not remain stationary in one area for extended periods of time.

“All the work we’ve seen to this point has been preparing for paving. This is a monumental step towards project completion,” said Supervisor Susan Gorin.

Once the paving is completed, the substantial components of construction will begin to wrap up.
