A sea of red and white
Duly attired revelers dance away the Red & White Ball on Sonoma Plaza, capping off a record evening for the Sonoma Valley Education Foundation’s annual fundraiser. With numbers still to crunch, the August 27 dinner/auction raised over $300,000 for area schools, a new record, said Executive Director Laura Zimmerman, with thanks to event co-chairs Sallie Kyle-Moore and Michelle Rulmont.
Making it all possible were over 60 sponsors, both business and individual, and more than 200 volunteers. Zimmerman said that after six years, the event has become much more than dance party. “The community is really connecting to the cause,” she said. “People see the District doing good work, and solving real problems.
