Several Sonoma Valley pavement-improvement projects are included in a two-year, $37 million plan to improve 51 miles of road throughout the County.
“We typically dedicate more general fund money to roads than any other County in California,” said Board Chair and District 2 Supervisor, David Rabbitt. “From 2013 through 2021, the Board will improve 433 miles of Sonoma County roads, primarily funded with $117 million of discretionary general fund dollars.”
This plan includes major rehabilitation work on 40 miles of roads, and another 11 miles of roads that will receive pavement preservation treatments in the County’s transportation system.
