Food booths, vendors, a kids arcade, pony rides, live music, the famous community quilt and a parade longer than the town itself? Charm, community spirit and tradition mark the annual Glen Ellen Village Fair, on Sunday, October 13, noon to 5 p.m.
This year’s theme is “Small Town, Big Heart,” and the parade Grand Marshal is Jim Shere. The six-band, two-stage (one of them ringed by hay bales) musical lineup includes Dan Martin and the Noma Rock Steady Band and the Illegitimate AC/DC.
Arnold Drive, the main road through town and the parade route, lined by some 80 food vendors, artisans and community groups displays, will be closed to traffic at 9 a.m. that morning.
