With a free celebration on Friday, November 1, Sonoma Community Center honors Día de los Muertos with the installation of a public altar – a walk-through sculpture by Jim Callahan – decorated in lights, golden butterflies, and portraits of Sonoma Valley’s passed loved ones.
The outdoor event features music, food, and drinks, with costumes and make-up encouraged. 5:30-7:30 p.m., 276 E. Napa St.
