A Memorial Day message from Congressmember — and Veteran — Mike Thompson

Today is Memorial Day — a day to honor the brave soldiers that died in service to our country and celebrate the freedoms that they fought to protect.

Throughout our history, hundreds of thousands of Americans made the ultimate sacrifice as they served us with dignity and pride. With every passing day, many continue to put on their uniform and risk their lives to protect our home.

I am using this Memorial Day to ensure that we are serving our soldiers as well as they have served us. It’s more important now than ever that our soldiers have the support they need when they return home, from healthcare services, to adequate housing.

Please join me in honoring our soldiers and fallen heroes.
