Wineries, tasting rooms included in next phase of reopening

This may alter your weekend to-do list: wineries and tasting rooms are back open.

As of Friday, Sonoma County’s Shelter-in-Place Health Order will upgrade to allow tasting rooms for wineries and breweries to operate, without the Phase-2 requirement to serve food at the same time.

Alas, and with apologies to Steiner’s and Town Square devotees, bars and pubs are not included.

The change will be effective at 12:01 a.m. on June 12th, concurrent with easing of the state guidelines.

The State has issued guidance specific to tasting rooms (along with restaurants) which can be found here. The modified Order will require adherence to this guidance.

The Board of Supervisors will be discussing future openings during the Board meeting scheduled for Thursday, June 11th.
