Sonoma County election, ballot update

Message from Deva Marie Proto, Sonoma County Registrar of Voters:
I know everyone is concerned right now, so here is what is going on for Sonoma County specifically.
All active, registered voters will receive a ballot in the mail for the November election. Your ballot will be sent in early October. Sign up to track it (like a FedEx package or Amazon) at https://www.sos.ca.gov/elections/ballot-status/wheres-my-ballot/. It will also notify you when we have received and processed your ballot.
Check to make sure your voter registration is correct at https://voterstatus.sos.ca.gov/.
If you want to mail your ballot back, there is no postage needed. Postage is paid in the state of CA.
If you don’t want to mail your ballot back, we will have at least 20 secure ballot drop boxes installed throughout the County for voters to use. They will be available starting in early October.
There will be in-person voting available.
We will have at least 30 voting locations around the County. They will be open for in-person voting at least 8 hours a day Saturday, October 31st, Sunday, November 1st and Monday, November 2nd, as well as 7am to 8pm on Election Day. Our plan is that any voter will be able to go to any in-person location. We will be able to look you up, ensure you have not already voted, void any ballots already issued to you, and give you a ballot to vote.
Right now, you can give us feedback on our proposed in-person and drop box locations at https://experience.arcgis.com/experience/c5a15f8b1b36462fac5b3b93073e8e22. (It’s not currently working for mobile devices, but we are working on fixing it.)
Currently, 80% of Sonoma County residents vote by mail, so we will not have a problem processing an increase in ballots received in the mail.
The entire Sonoma County Elections team is dedicated to ensuring a safe, secure and honest election in November. We are working very hard to make the election a success, and will continue to do so.
