A clear path to City government volunteer work

Posted on November 5, 2020 by Sonoma Valley Sun

You don’t need to be voted in to have a role in city and county government. Community members can serve on a commission or committee charged with focusing on key issues and to then provide feedback and recommendations to the City Council.

The Council also makes appointments to regional committees such as the Sonoma Citizens Advisory Commission.

At this time, the City is seeking applications for volunteer service on the following commissions and committees:

  •       Community Services & Environment Commission – CSEC
  •       Design Review and Historic Preservation Commission – DRHPC
  •       Cultural & Fine Arts Commission – CFAC
  •       Traffic Safety Committee
  •       Sonoma Valley Citizens Advisory Commission – SVCAC

Find out more about each position, and apply if interested, at https://sonomacity.civicweb.net. The deadline is December 18.
