DAVID TALBOT

Friday, February 12, 4 p.m. 

Talbot is a journalist, author, and media executive. He is the founder and former Editor-in-Chief of the early web magazine, Salon, and has worked as a senior editor of Mother Jones magazine and written for Time Magazine, the New Yorker, Rolling Stone and others. He just finished a new book about the leading activists in the 1960s and ‘70s, to be published May 2021.

The Great Transformation II – Into an Ecological Society

Kimbrell is a public interest attorney, author, and advocate for sustainable agriculture. He is the founder and executive director of the Center for Food Safety and the International Center for Technology Assessment (ICTA). He is also the co-founder of Foundation Earth and the president of the Board of Humane Farm Animal Care. He served as Policy Director at the Foundation for Economic Trends for eight years. He has initiated several successful legal cases, including several cases against Monsanto.

Climate Solutions from the Local to the International Level

Cohen is the CEO of the Climate Center in Santa Rosa. She is a leader in catalyzing cross-boundary, collaborative, and just solutions to climate change and environmental degradation. The Climate Center has launched a rapid decarbonization campaign in California to align with the science for bold and swift climate solutions. Climate-Safe California is a powerful solution that climate experts have called a bold, unique, urgently needed and comprehensive campaign that will catalyze similar efforts in other states, the nation, and the world.
