Shouldn’t everyone get to enjoy a trendy gourmet meal — complete with Chitos and chocolate dipping sauce, no less — every once in a while?
When an anonymous couple had to cancel their big wine country wedding because of Covid, Elaine Bell catering found itself with food for 600. The generous couple and Bell teamed up to donate the food to the Sonoma Overnight Support kitchen at Springs Hall. Chef Dan and his volunteer crew prepped it up, and served the to-go meals this week to its homeless and other clients.
The SOS kitchen serves 250 meals a day, five days a week, with the help of companies like Elaine Bell, Delicious Dish and Microsoft, and community donations. No city or county funds are used. Find out more.
